Mr. Huston was born December 5, 1881, in Claybanks township, where he resided until he was 20 years old. He worked for four years for Armour & Co. in Joliet, Illinois, later went to Cuba, then came to Grand Rapids to live. He was married in 1907 to Miss Sadie Hunt of Claybanks, who died in 1910. Mr. Huston resided in Claybanks for a time and on January 1, 1914 was married to Miss Ida Bartlett of Claybanks.
They lived for a time in Mississippi and then came to Blue Lake Township. They moved to Whitehall 16 years ago, purchasing the Hagen property which has been the family home since.
Mr. Huston was proud of his family's history as White Lake pioneers. His grandparents were Adam and Eliza Huston who were among the first settlers of Claybanks about 1848. Their cabin was built back of what is now the Flower Creek cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Huston are his widow; four sons, Ogden in Montana; Gerald in Florida; Eldon in Washington, nd Oren Jr. at home; and three daughters, Mrs. Irene Whitney of Chicago; Mrs. Lela Knowlton in Whitehall and Nettie Madeline at home.
