Mr. Lund suffered a heart attack Monday morning while raking leaves at his home here at 108 3rd Ave. NW. He entered the hospital Monday afternoon.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced. The body was taken to Moeller's funeral home, Remsen.

Funeral services for Sam Lund, 75, prominent former Fredonia township farmer who died Tuesday at the Sacred Heart hospital, Le Mars, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Gethsemane Lutheran church, Oyens. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Victor Staby of Council Bluffs, Ia.
Mr. Lund had been a hospital patient but one day.
Born February 26, 1883 in Omaha, Mr. Lund came to Iowa and to Fredonia township in 1907 and farmed until he and his wife retired to Le Mars, in 1950.
He married Christina Juhl on January 25, 1911, the marriage ceremony taking place in the Juhl home west of Remsen.
Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mr.s Herman(Verna) Miller of Remsen, a son Donald Lund of Remsen, two grandsons and three granddaughters, a brother, Louis Lund of Fort Calhoun, Nebr., and a sister, Mrs. Peter A. Johnson of Blair, Nebr.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Gladys, who died in infancy; a sister and two brothers.
