Sophie L. "Sue" Simons, 79, of Alliance, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at 8:44 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born in Alliance, March 22, 1924, she had been a resident of Alliance all of her life and was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Simons is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bob Lampe of Alliance: a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald L. and Debbie Simons of Alliance; seven grandchildren, B. J. Lampe, Gerry Simons Jr., Amy Bennett, Robyn Pencek, Dan Simons, Craig Simons, and Lisa Simons; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William Simons Jr., who died Jan 23, 1994 (they were married June 5, 1943); son, William Simons, who died Dec. 7, 1996; a grandson, Billy Simons, who died Jan. 23, 1994; her parents, Dominic and Edith Admonius; two sisters, Helen Pinter and Dorothy Muniz; and four brothers, Albert, John, Frank and Tony Admonius.
