      NAMPA — Services for Ralph C. Smith, 54, of 824 Thirteenth Avenue South, Nampa, who died at his home Sunday, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Warren D. Combs, pastor of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, with graveside rites by the Marine Corps League.
      Mr. Smith was born Feb. 5, 1917 at Tarkio. Mo., and was reared and attended school there. He was married to Mildred A. Garner on Dec. 26, 1935, at Tarkio. They moved to Ontario in 1936. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the European Theater during World War II. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he was employed as a mechanic for Paul Roberts and Holloway Motor Co. in Ontario. They moved to Nampa in 1956 where he was employed at Home Daries until 1969. Since then he has been a truck driver for Kent Brothers Transportation.
      He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
      Mr. Smith is survived by his wife; two sons, Darrell R. Smith, Boise, and Greg T. Smith, Nampa; a daughter, Mrs. Claudette F. Lacey, Ontario; four brothers, Donald J. Smith and John J. Smith, both of Boise, David D. Smith, Milton-Freewater, Ore., and Delbert L. Smith, Casper, Wyo.; and by four sisters, Mrs. Irene Hickey and Mrs. Evelyn Kent, both of Boise, Mrs. Inez Minick, Cedar Rapids, Utah, and Mrs. Daisy Morrell.
      Donations may be made to the Heart Fund, or flowers may be sent.
