Denver, Colo. -- Louise Herrman, 81, died Tuesday, July 2 t Thornton, Colo. She was born Aug. 4, 1914 at Liebenthal, the daughter of Anton and Martha (Schoendaller) Kreutzer.

She attended school in Liebenthal and later earned her General Education Diploma. For nearly 22 years she worked as a housekeeper for Father A. B. Clupney in Timken. In addition, she also assisted with various parish duties and in raising Father Clupney’s niece and nephew.

She was a homemaker and rancher with her housband in Saratoga, Wyo., until 1961, when she became a nurse’s aide at Children’s Hospital, Hays, retiring in 1979. She and her husband returned to Colorado in 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar and Rosary Society, both of Liebenthal.

On Jan. 14, 1952 she married Robert Herrman at La Crosse. He died Sept. 4, 1993.

Survivors include a son, Robert J., thornton, Colo.; two daughters, Theresa M. Wolber, Thornton, Colo., and Martha L. Brady, Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and a step-great-granddaughter.

Other survivors include two brothers, Albinus “Al” Kreutzer, Bonham, Texax, and Raymond Kreutzer, Carthage, Mo.; eight sisters, Victoria Birzer, Greenville, Texas, Eleanor Shinogle, Meade, Leontine “Tina” Clarinda Campbell, Lufkin, Texas, Odilia Lasater, San Angelo, Texas, Mathilda “Tillie” Miller, La Crosse; and Beatrice Kohl, Chula Vista, Calif.

Parish vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by St. Ann’s Altar and Rosary Society rosary at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, with Father Eugene Kenny officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Liebenthal.

Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of the funeral home.
