John C. Zeutenhorst

John C. Zeutenhorst, 80, of Sioux Center died Sunday, January 28, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Mark De Witt officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Zeutenhorst was born to Herman and Coba (Westra) Zeutenhorst on August 26, 1915, on the farm near Sioux Center. He married Priscilla Vande Berg in Sioux Center on December 16, 1938. He was employed at AMPI for 28 years. He was a member of First Reformed Church of Sioux Center.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Gerard and Sharon and Marlyn and Linda, all of Sioux Center; a daughter and her husband, Phyllis and John J. Franken of Sioux Center; a sister, Mrs. Everett (Coba) Van Binsbergen of Montevideo, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Otto (Minnie) Rowenhorst of Orange City; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bertha Koops and Dena Jansen; four brothers, Dick, Gerrit, Herman and Gerrit; and one grandson.
