Mr. Garland Shreves "Cotton" Chaudoin, son of the late Mr. Joseph Milton Chaudoin and Mrs. Helen Harrison Milby Chaudoin, was born July 26, 1917, in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, December 20, 1998, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was 81 years, four months and 24 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Mae Gumm on January 19, 1938, who survives. To this union was born one daughter: Kara Faye Bell of Lexington. He is also survived by three sisters: Cornelia Williams of Greensburg, Joyce Marr of Greensburg, and Arlene Shepherd of Shepherdsville; four grandchildren: Angie Scott, Danny Scott, Beverly Larimore and Stacy Bell, all of Greensburg; four great-grandchildren: Lauren and Kirn Larimore and Michael and Miranda Scott, all of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Kristen Larimore, on October 16, 1997. The funeral services for Mr. Garland Shreves "Cotton" Chaudoin were conducted Wednesday, December 23, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Wilson Cemetery. Rev. Marty Thompson and Rev. Stan Durrett officiated. Pallbearers were Brad Milby, Barry Durrett, Eddie Hays, Joey Gumm, Perry Milby, H.W. Williams, Danny McCubbin and Donnie Vaughn.
