GRACE V. STAGGS
Grace V. Staggs, 89, Marion, died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, April, 29, at Shangrila Nursing Home in Marion. She had been a resident there the past five years.
Born October 14, 1894 in Parke County, she was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah H. Young Staggs. She was a registered nurse and had also done private duty nursing. She was a member of the Nelson Street Wesleyan Church of Marion.
Surviving is a brother, James Thomas of Marshall.
Services were conducted Thursday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.
Note: Her obituary reads that her middle initial was "D" but her gravestone reads "V".
