Mrs. Matilda (Jurs) Ackman, wife of William Ackman died at her home in Riley Thursday morning, April 1st, 1932 following a long illness.
Besides her husband, she is survived by nine children, LaVern, Elburn, Verda, Curtiss, Leonard, Melvin, Orville, William Jr., and Lucille all at home. One son preceded her in death. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Cora Burkhart of Marengo; four brothers, John Jurs of Gilberts; Louis and Herman Jurs of Marengo and George Jurs of Gary, Indiana.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 4, from the home at 1:30 p.m. and from the Harmony church at 2:30 with Rev Dies officiating. Burial was in the Hampshire Cemetery.
