Tom James, Woodburn
Funeral services for Tom James 89, pioneer resident of Lucas county and retired farmer, were conducted this morning from the St. Mary's church at Woodburn. Mr. James had been in failing health in recent years. He died at the Clarke County Hospital.

The Rev. Gerald Deere was in charge of last rites. Interment was at the St. Mary's cemetery at Woodburn. The Forester Funeral home of Woodburn had charge of arrangements.

Survivors include five sons, William of Leon, Earl of Indianola, John, Paul and Ernest of Woodburn and daughter Twyla of Washington State. A sister, Mrs. Minnie Viertz of Woodburn also survive. His wife and two sons preceded him in death.

Mrs. Joanne Fleming of Denver, Colo., came here to attend the funeral services of her grandfather, Tom James. She returned home shortly after the services last Tuesday, March 19, at 10' o'clock a. m. at the St. Marys church and burial in the St. Marys cemetery. Sympathy is extended to all relatives.
