Nellie F. “Mim-Maw” Acklin, 84, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Tim Rice officiating. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery. Mrs. Acklin was a member of West Huntsville Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Acklin. She was a homemaker and volunteer in the community. Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Acklin of Gurley, Jerry Acklin of Huntsville, Ted Acklin of Hazel Green and Danny Acklin of Toney; two daughters, Jean Uselton and Gayle Roland, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Lucille (Solon) Cantrell of Huntsville and Margaret Hodges of New Hope; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
