Barney Leon Johnson, 89, of Woodstock, GA, formerly of Montgomery, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 06, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Nelda Frances Johnson of Woodstock, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Jack Campbell of Woodstock, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchel and Yvette Johnson of Orlando, FL; daughter Carole Johnson of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Chris (Sheryl) Campbell, June (Rick) Kornacki, Joshua Campbell, Joseph (Brandy) Campbell, Britni (Keith) Miltner, Ian Johnson, Lexi Johnson, Brandt Johnson; great-grandchildren, Melissa and Jacob Campbell, Clay and Darian Davenport, Ryan and Rachel Kornacki, Zachary Gordon, Ashley Campbell; and nephew Chalmous (Leslee) McElveen. Mr. Johnson was preceeded in death by his grandson, Officer Jason Campbell. Mr. Johnson was a retired Master Sergeant from the USAF. He served many years as a Deacon at Normandale Baptist Church and as Chairman of the Deacons at Lakeview Baptist Church, both in Montgomery, AL. He was an active member and volunteer at First Baptist Church Woodstock. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Northside Chapel Funeral Home, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA at 3:00-5:00 p.m. A memorial service led by Pastor Johnny Hunt of First Baptist Woodstock will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Northside Chapel. On Saturday, February 13, 2010 there will be a family viewing from 3:00-4:00 at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, N.C. Graveside services led by Pastor Jeff Manning of Unity Free Will Baptist Church will be held in Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville, NC. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Concerns of Police Survivors. C.O.P.S/Georgia President, Joshua C.
