Carl T. Acklin, 64, of Rt. 2, Hazel Green, died Saturday at Huntsville Hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Church of Christ. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery, with Laughlin-Service Funeral Home in charge. Bill Ivy will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Faye Acklin of Hazel Green; four sons, Roy Acklin, Jerry Acklin, Ted Acklin and Danny Acklin, all of Huntsville; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Uselton and Mrs. Gayle Tonya Roland, both of Huntsville; four brothers, Algenson Acklin, Vernon Acklin, Oakland Acklin and James Earl Acklin, all of Sylacauga; five sisters, Mrs. Nadine Adair, Miss Florence Acklin, Mrs. Readus Pike and Miss Agnes Acklin, all of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Virginia Burks of Montgomery; and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Billy Day, Jimmy Church, Larry Pruitt, Bob Church, and Timmy Uselton.
