Opal Louise Cagle, 83, of New Plymouth died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at a Payette care center from Parkinsons Disease. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, with Don Hardenbrook officiating. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Opal was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Hulbert, Okla., the daughter of Louie and Minnie Wittenborn. She married Walter Hap Cagle, Sr. on April 4, 1935. They moved to New Plymouth from Caldwell, where she later retired from nursing. Opal enjoyed her family above all else. After 58 years of marriage, she lived the rest of her days devoted to her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Donald, of Weiser; a daughter, Pamela, of New Plymouth; a
granddaughter, Brandi; and great-grandchildren, Dale Jacab and Jordan Casey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a daughter, Sharon; her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
