Gordon R. Wittenborn

CALDWELL — Services for Gordon R. Wittenborn, 33, of 407 Belmont street, Caldwell, who was killed Saturday night in a one-car accident 10 miles west of Boise on highway 20, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel. The Rev. James D. Davis and E. F. Caldwell of the Assembly of God church will officiate. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.

Mr. Wittenborn was killed when the car he was driving swerved off the highway and rolled over six times. He was thrown from the vehicle, which later burst into flames. He was alone in the car.

He was born Sept. 16, 1924, at Hulbert, Okla., and moved to Caldwell with his parents when he was 11 years of age. He attended schools at Notus and Caldwell, and was married March 10, 1945, to Betty Griffin at Caldwell.

Mr. Wittenborn was employed by the State Highway department.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, George and Ronald Wittenborn, and three daughters, Alice, Phyllis and Edith Wittenborn, all of Caldwell; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Wittenborn of Caldwell; three brothers, Eugene Wittenborn of Fairfield, Calif., and Boyd and Oral Wittenborn, both of Caldwell; and one sister, Opal Cagel of New Plymouth.
