Madie Logean Barnett, age 76, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Warren Memorial Hospital, in Front Royal, Virginia.

She was born in Buchanan County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Lillie Irene Smith Ward. Madie had been a resident of Front Royal, Virginia since 1992. She loved to read her Bible and enjoyed cooking. Madie was a homemaker and she attended church at the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal Virginia. She was a quiet woman, but when she spoke it was straight to the point and with love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Keith Barnett; one daughter, Linda Sue Barnett; two brothers, Rudolph Ward and Delford Ward.

Funeral services for Madie Logean Barnett will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel, Richlands, Virginia with Dr. Samuel J. Blakely officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Monday, August 13, 2012 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home; 1401 Front Street; Richlands, Virginia. There will also be a memorial service at 1:00 pm on August 25, 2012 at the Front Royal Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal, Virginia.
