Roberta C. Baze, 75, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, July 27, in a care home in Kewanee. Born Oct. 11, 1918, in Ohio, ILL., the daughter of Marnie and Mabel Newlin Wesner, she was reared and educated in the Mendota and Walnut areas, graduating from Walnut High School in 1937. She married Ralph A. Baze. June 26, 1942, in Kahokia, MO and lived in the Osco and Cambridge areas where she was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Christine) Wells of Cambridge and one son, Doug Baze of Milan, two grandchildren, Karl and Angie Wells: two sisters, Virginia Breillweister of Bloomington and Joan McGraw of Evergreen, Colorado: and one brother, Max Wesner of San Diego, Calf. Her husband died Feb. 2, 1991. Also preceding her in death were one grandson and one brother. She was a member of Osco Community Church. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 2 at the Osco Community Church, Osco with Rev. David Knudsen officiating. Burial will be in Morristown Cemetery, rural Osco. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday Aug. 1 at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Home, Cambridge.
