Mr. Baze was born February 5, 1915, in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Henry and Anna (Pavek) Baze. He was reared and educated in the Orion-Osco area and graduated from the Orion high school in 1934. He married Roberta C. Wesner, June 26, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri. He was a self-employed truck driver in the Osco area for 37 years. After that he was a weight master at the Milan Stone Quarry for seven years, retiring in June, 1990. He was a retired member of the Osco-Andover Fire Department. He enjoyed reading about and watching sports, especially basketball. Survivors include his wife, one son, Doug Baze, of Milan, one daughter Mrs. Robert (Christine) Wells of Cambridge, and two grandchildren, Kari and Angie Wells. He was preceded in death by one grandson.
