----------
Angeline Thornburg daughter of Isaac and Mary Thornburg was born February 28, 1840 and departed from this life August 20, 1923 at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was born and reared near Windsor, Randolph County Indiana. In the year of 1861 at the beginning of the war she was married to Harrison Dillie. To this union were born nine children Clifford, Johnie, Sherman, George, an infant daughter and the father all having preceded her in death thus leaving William, Oliver, Herbert, and Edwin [Edward] to mourn the loss of mother on account of her advanced age and frailty it was thought best to have [her] make her home with her son William in Parker the last winter, where she was faithfully cared for, but as the spring months came she had a great desire to be in her home and be with her neighbors and friends. But the dread disease had so strickened her and after a few short weeks she was removed to the home of her son Oliver in Parker to be cared for. Aunt Ann as she was called by all, made the Christian Church her choice for a church home and when the cares of life, and health permitted she loved to attend all church services. Thus lending her influence of the cause of Christ and church.
She was a good and patient mother, a kind friend and neighbor and bore her long and severe illness bravely. Her master called and she has gone to be with him who doeth all things well.
