MSgt. U.S. Army, Korean War-MSgt. Baughman was killed in action by small arms fire on 2-12-1951 while serving in South Korea as a heavy assualt weapons crewman with Co. C of the 3rd Battalion of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. There was no recovery of the body. Presumed dead on 12-31-1953

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Luther Baughman of Smithfield, Illinois.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with One Service Star, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal, Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
