Ludington (Mich.) Daily News, 21 May 1934, p. 1. John Johnson, 67, Dies at Dearborn, John Johnson, 67, passed away Saturday at the home of his son William Johnson of Dearborn with whom he had made his home. Born in Stockholm [should be Stråvalla], Sweden, July 20, 1866 [should be 18 July 1867], John Johnson came to America when six [should be nine] years old and lived in Ludington until eigtht years ago when he went to live with his eldest son William. For seven years he had been an invalid. Mrs. Johnson and wife, who before her marriage was Miss Hilda Shilander, lived for many years in their attractive farm home Sandy Point in Pere Marguette (township). She preceded her husband in death Jan. 4, 1916, and their daughter Florence died Nov. 3, 1920. Children living are William of Dearborn, Rudolph of Kenosha, Wis.; Conrad of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Lillian of Detroit; Leonard of Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Hildegarde Hagen of Detroit. A brother Andrew Johnson and two sisters Mrs. John Anderson of Lundington and Mrs. Frank Johnson of Idaho also survive. The body was brought to Ludington Sunday night in Dorrell funeral car, driven by Don Crawford. Funeral services will be held from the Dorrell church at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. J. A. Landin.
