Johann Berndt Johansson (John B. Johnson) sailed to American on 8 March 1872 on the Steamer "Hero" from Göteborg, and arrived about 10 March 1872 at the Port of Hull, England. He then sailed on 13 March 1872 on the SS Spain from Liverpool, England, and arrived on 26 March 1872 at the Port of New York, and then traveled to Ludington, Michigan, where his younger brother, Anders Johansson, was then living (he returned to Sweden in 1873). On 8 September 1876 his wife, Johanna Lena Samuelsdotter, and children Anna Johanna Johansdotter, Inger Lena Johansdotter, and Johannes Johnson sailed from Göteborg on the Steamer Orlando. They arrived in New York on 25 September 1876 on the SS City of Richmond. On 19 September 1879 his remaining children, Anna Sophia Johansdotter and Anders Johansson sailed from Göteborg on the Steamer Orlando. They arrived on 6 October 1879 in Quebec, Canada. Finally after seven years his complete family was together again in America.
