J.M. Perry, 91, of 931 N. Broadway, died Saturday evening in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday in Gaskill Funeral Chapel with burial in Mission Cemetery.
Perry, retired farmer and dairyman, was born July 12,1877 in Russellville, Ark., and came to Oklahoma in 1899. He had lived in Pottawatomie County since that time and had lived in Shawnee since moving here in 1929.
His wife, Mrs. J.M. Perry, died in 1957 and a son Arthur Perry died in 1955.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. emily Palmer, Sulphur, Mrs. Mabel Palmer, Carlsbad, N. M., Mrs. Ora Parsons, Shawnee, and Mrs. Mintha Smith, Del City; two sons, Floyd Perry, Shawnee, and Gordon Perry, Enid; 25 grandchildren, and 48 great grand children.
Perry and McGee Furniture will be closed from noon until 3 p.m. Monday to attend the services. Floyd Perry, son of deceased, is the owner of the local furniture store.
Gaskill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
