Funeral services for Mrs. J.M. Perry, age 77, were held Monday, May 13, 1957 in Gaskill Funeral Chapel at 3:30 p.m. with Jack Shackleford and A.L. McCaffery officiating. Burial was in Mission Cemertery, Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Perry died May 10, 1957 in a local hospital. She was born March 10, 1880 and came to Oklahoma in 1897 from Arkansas. She lived in the St. Louis community until 1929 when she moved north of Shawnee. She had been living in Shawnee about 8 years at the time of her death. She and Mr. Perry were married Sept. 12, 1899 in Indian Territory.
She was survived by her husband, J.M. Perry of the home, 403 N. Tucker, two sons, Floyd Perry, 1936 N. Union and Gordon Perry, east of Shawnee; four daughters, Mrs. Emily Palmer, Sulphur, Oklahoma, Mrs. Mabel Palmer, Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mrs. Ora Parsons, 401 W. Pulaski, and Mrs. Mintha Smith, Sidney, Nebraska; one brother, H.H. Hulsey, Lindsey, Calif; 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
