James Edward Allen
James Edward Allen, age 55, passed away in Tallahassee, Florida, July 25, 2009. A Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 6 p.m. EDT at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel located at 3322 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee Fla. The family will be honored to receive friends one hour prior to service. Mr. Allen was born in Bainbridge, Ga., and has lived in the Quincy and Tallahassee area for the past 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid hunter. He was also a member of the Quail Unlimited. He was a retired auditor with the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Cathy Ann Allen; one daughter, Calyn Burke Allen of Tallahassee, Fla.; his mother, Doris McCarty Allen of Quincy, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Allen (Cindy) of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Tim Allen of Quincy, Fla. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Luther Ishmael Allen, and his brother, Larry Allen.
