Luther "Ish" Allen

A graveside funeral service for Luther "Ish" Allen, 83, of Quincy, Fla., was held Tuesday, June 24, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy with Masonic rites at the graveside.
Mr. Allen died June 22 in Tallahassee, Fla. He was born in Auburn, Ga., and was a retired retail salesman. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where he served as secretary for many years. He was also a member of Orion Lodge #8 F.&A.M. of Bainbridge.
Survivors include his wife, Doris McCarty Allen; four sons, Wayne Allen and Jim Allen, both of Tallahassee, Larry Allen and Tim Allen, both of Quincy; two sisters, Iris Dozier of Thompson, Ga. and Inez Vaughn of Conyers; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Fla. 32308.
Independent Funeral Home of Quincy was in charge of arrangements.
