Doris M. Allen (1923 - 2011)
Doris M. Allen, 88, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011. The service will be Sunday, Sept. 25, 2:00 PM at Independent Funeral Home (850) 875-1529 with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery; family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
A native of Attapulgus, she had lived in Quincy since 1956. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, a homemaker who loved her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Cindy) Allen of Tallahassee, Tim Allen of Quincy; grandchildren, Bryan, Jason, Marisa, and Calyn; great-grandchildren, Emmy and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ish Allen and sons, Larry and Jim Allen.
Independent Funeral Home (850)875-1529 is in charge of arrangements.
