James Zakrzewski, 67, of Key West, FL, formerly of lmperial, PA, died Friday, March 2, 2012. He was born November 5, 1944, in Harrison Twp., Allegheny Co. to the late Theodore & Nancy (Fredrick) Zakrzewski. He was a chemist with Calgon Corp. for 35 years and currently serving as a research specialist at the Naval Air Station in Key West. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as fishing, boating and traveling. He built a wonderful life in Key West, working on his house boat, taking walks on Duval Street, enjoying the warm ocean breezes and spending time with friends and his parrot, Mr. Pickles. He was also a Vietnam Marine veteran. Survived by sons, Terry (Donna) Zakrzewski of Clinton, Erick (Amy) Zakrzewsi of Oakdale; grandchildren, Ashlee and Kayla Zakrzewski of Clinton, Brinley and Nolan Zakrzewski of Oakdale; brothers, Ted (Debbie) Zakrzewski and Donald (Karen) Zakrzewski, all of Leechburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lee (Trzeciak) Zakrzewski (2008). Thomas-Little Funeral Service, 305 Main Street, Imperial. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.
