Carol L. Zakrzewski, 58, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Imperial and New Kensington, went to God's arms Sunday, May 18, 2008. She was born July 4, 1949, in New Kensington. She was a graduate of Valley High School. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be painfully missed by her family and friends. Carol was a longtime resident of Imperial before moving to Key West with her husband, James, in 2000. She loved the beaches, going out on her boat on a Sunday afternoon and evening drives down Duval Street to see the new faces in town. Her laughter, smile and wittiness were contagious. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Trzeciak. She is survived by her two sons, Terry (Donna) Zakrzewski, of Clinton, Erick (Amy) Zakrzewski, of West Mifflin; her husband of 39 years, James Zakrzewski; mother, Olga Trzeciak, of New Kensington; brothers, Ronald (Mary Jane) Trzeciak and Jeffery Trzeciak, both of Lower Burrell; sister, Beverly (Gary) Saar, of Etters; and numerous nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Ashlee and Kayla, of Clinton. Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, 2008, at THOMAS LITTLE FUNERAL HOME in Imperial.
