Arthur Adney, 52, of route 1 Pittsville, died at 1:20 this morning at his home after an illness of about 18 months. He came to the town of Cameron in 1927 and then lived at West Union, Iowa, before returning to the vicinity of Marshfield, where he had since lived. Funeral services will be at 2 o' clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Richfield, with the Rev. Dwight Jarvis of Marshfield officiating. Burial will be made in the Richfield cemetery. Beginning Friday noon the body will repose at the Hansen Funeral Home until noon Saturday when it will be taken to the church. Mr. Adney was born in McGregor, Iowa, Jan. 11. 1903, and at tended school at Elgin, Iowa. He was married in the town of Cameron to Pearl (Doris) Noble on Aug. 14, 1930. He leaves his wife and eight children, Mrs. Frank. (Violet) Brown, Marshfield; Mrs. Harold (Delia) Schoch, Morris; Dorothy Adney, Union Grove; Ruth Adney, West Union, Iowa; and Robert, Lucy, James and Sharon, at home; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters and a brother, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Brink, Baraboo; Mrs. Richard (Ethel) Thompson, West Union, I- owa; Mrs. John (Pearl) Wedo, Claremont, Iowa; Mrs. Leon (Margaret) Seron, Watervliet, Mich.. and Clark Adney, Everett, Wash. One sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
