ARPIN Mrs. Robert (Pearl D.) Smith, 60, of route 1, Arpin, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She had been in ill health the past several years. Services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hansen Chapel, Marshfield, with the Rev. Wesley Dafoe, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church of Marshfield, officiating. Burial will be made in the Richfield cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Hansen Chapel, Marshfield, from 2 p. m. until 9 p. m. Tuesday and on Wednesday until time of services. The former Pearl Doris Noble was born Jan. 13, 1912, in the town of Richfield and had her education there and at the Marshfield High School. She was married in 1930 in Marshfield, to Arthur Adney, who preceded her in death in 1955. Her second marriage was in Marshfield, Sept. 17, 1958, to Robert Smith, who survives. She resided in the town of Richfield her entire life. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Violet) Brown, Pittsville; Mrs. Arnold (Delia) Icke, Withee; Mrs. Dorothy Mumpa, Madeline Island, Wis.; Mrs. Lucy Shepard, Manchester, Iowa; and Miss Sharon Adney, Arpin; a son, James Adney, Wisconsin Rapids; 13 grandchildren, two sisters, Miss Myrtle Noble, Detroit, Mich.; and Mrs. James (Hulda) Butcher, Chicago; and a brother, Elias Noble, Westminster, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son.
