Violet I. Brown, age 84, of Marshfield, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Atrium Post-Acute Care in Marshfield. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 16, 2016 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held at Location from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 and again one hour prior to service on Friday all at the funeral home. Order of the Eastern Star will pay respects on 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.Violet was born April 17, 1932, the daughter of Arthur and Pearl (Knoble) Adney in Marshfield. On June 23, 1950 Violet was united in marriage to Frank Brown at her parents' home in Clark County.She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. In her spare time she enjoyed puzzles, camping, and playing Sheepshead. She especially enjoyed traveling with Frank. Those that knew her best will miss her warm smile, her kind heart, and her love of lighthouses.Violet is lovingly survived by her children: Martin Brown, Carl (Nancy) Brown, and Irene (Randy) Berkholtz; grandchildren: Tina (Richard) Ostrum, Terri Berkholtz, Jonathan Brown, and Tammy Brown; as well as great grandchildren: Gage and Jade Ostrum. She is further survived by her siblings: Della Ueck, Dorothy Maenpaa, Sharon Adney, Lucy Anderson, Ruth Thompson and Jim (Mary) Adney. She will truly be missed. Violet is preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Pearl; her husband: Frank; as well as a brother: Robert.
