Ina M. (LaFrance) Abood, 74, of Nashua NH passed away April 2, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital. Ina was born in Nashua on May 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Baron) LaFrance. She was the wife of Leonard Abood of Nashua, whom she married July 2, 1977. Ina was a lifelong Nashua resident and a graduate of St. Louis High School. She received her Masters Degree in elementary education from Rivier College.

Ina had been a teacher for various Catholic schools in Connecticut, Vermont, and Nashua for eight years and a teacher at the Thornton's Ferry School in Merrimack NH for 27 years. She also taught many CCD programs from 1958 to 1996. She enjoyed reading, tending to her flower garden, crafts, camping, and traveling as far as Alaska in their motor home. She was also involved with the RISE program at Rivier College. Ina was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild since 1978.

She was predeceased by her sisters Doris LaFrance, Jeannette LaFrance, and Sr. Rachel LaFrance, and brothers Leon LaFrance and George LaFrance.

Besides her husband of 34 years, Ina is survived by her sisters Mary Anne Castonguay of High Gate Springs VT, Irene Taylor of Nashua, Cecile Duquette of Nashua, and Alice Plautz and husband Dr. A. Plautz of Madison WI; brother Paul Lafrance of Montpelier VA; and sister-in-law Carol Putnam and husband Donald of Nashua.
