Mrs. Judy Burkett Baker, 65, of Brunswick, GA., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Judy was born on October 22, 1946 in Houston, Texas to the late Sidney Burkett and Juanita Higginbotham. She was born in Houston, Texas and had been a resident for the past 53 years. She is a 1964 graduate of Glynn Academy and retired from Brunswick Pulp and Paper Company.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Barker and her parents.
She is survived by three sisters: Charlotte Ricks of Nahunta, GA; Sherry Ficklen of Texas; Lynnah Mancil of Virginia; three brothers: Dwayne Burkett, Mark Burkett and Sidney Burkett all of Texas; step mother: Barbara Burkett of Texas.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Drury officiating.
The family will have a private inurnment at a later date.
