Lorraine Godby Martin Baugh, 84
Lorraine Godby Martin Baugh, 84, of Stanford, died Saturday, May 16 at Golden Living Center in Stanford.
A native of Paxton, Ill., she was born May 18, 1924, to the late Henry Arnold and Georgia Sykes Godby. She was a retired prison guard at LaGrange Penitentiary, member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and widow of Elmo Martin.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Perle Godby.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Craig Baugh of Stanford; son, Sammy (Martina) Martin of Lancaster; two brothers, Henry Godby of Portage, Ind., and Osprey Godby of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Georgia Ann Lewis of Stanford; two grandchildren, Tammy (Michael) Gilbert of Salem, Va., and Stephanie Martin of Nicholasville; and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Andrew Gilbert.
Funeral services were May 19 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Weaver, David Lewis, Orlis Sparkman, Roy L. Nave, James Snyder and Joe Beck.
