MRS. ALBERTINA ANDERSON CARLSON

Albertina Anderson was born in Sweden 20 May 1861 and died 27 march 1946 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and seven days.

At the age of 20 years in 1881 she came to America and settled in Amboy, Illinois. In 1882 she came to Ida County where she continued to reside until her death. She was united in marriage with Carl August Carlson, who preceded her in death in April 1930. They settled on a farm in Hayes township which was her home until her recent illness. After the death of the husband she continued to reside with the two sons Oscar and Reuben.

Ten children were born to them, four of whom survive. Elmer, Paul and Mabel died in infancy, Roy in October 1927, Selma, May 1933, and Ellen in march 1935.

In 1888 she united with the Mission Covenant church in Odebolt retaining her membership there until death. She passed away with her faith securely anchored in the Lord.

Surviving are four sons, Reuben and Oscar of Arthur, Albert and Emil of Ida Grove; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Free church at Arthur Friday, March 29, 1946 with Rev. John Hedlund and Rev. Anderson of the mission Covenant church officiating. A quartet composed of mr. and Mrs. Irvin Linman, Henry Tunberg and Mrs. Herbert Tunberg, sang "Lights of Home." and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Lindskoog of Odebolt sang "Some Glad Sweet Day." Interment was in the hayes township cemetery. Pall bearers were Ed. England, Wm. Sonichsen, Ed Nelson, Herbert Tunberg, Floyd Lindberg and Lester Bilstene.
