Mary L. McClain, 83, Avon, died February 4, 2004. She was born July 19, 1920 to Albert and Iva (Voyles) Dooley. She was the widow of Adrian McClain. Mrs. McClain was a 1938 graduate of Avon High School. A homemaker, she had worked at the Indiana State Board of Health during the 1940's. She was a member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church, Avon, of which she was a charter member of it's U.M.W. [United Methodist Women] and a 50 year member of the Danville Chapter of O.E.S. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday February 7 with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday February 6 both in the church located at 4396 E. Main Street (Old US 36). Survivors: children, Rex D. McClain and Nancy Munn, both of Avon and Linda McClain of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, John Dooley of Naples, Florida. Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
