Thelma Grace "Peg" Bell, 85, of Slippery Rock, Liberty Township, Mercer County, died at 6:38 p.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born in Brady Township, Butler County, April 20, 1925, she was the daughter of Sherman E. Grossman and Grace Riding Grossman.

She was married to Howard Hastings Bell, who died May 20, 1983.

She worked for the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers and retired as a claims examiner in May 1985.

She was a Protestant.

Surviving are a son, Michael L. Bell of Slippery rock; two brothers, Richard "Sonny" E. Grossman of Slippery Rock and Sherman Grant Grossman of Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Lydia Book of Slippery Rock and Alma Dally of Grove City.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Grossman.

Private services for Thelma Grace "Peg" Bell, who died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 will be Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock. Interment will follow at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
