AMANDA CRARY DIED THURSDAY Amanda Iona Crary, aged 87, died Thursday August 18 at Idlehour Lodge at Murfreesboro. She was born Jan. 4, 1879 in Wood County, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac and Isabelle Roush and came to Glenwood to make her home four years ago. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Luther, Michigan. Survivors are three sons, Arthur Fretter of Saginaw, Mich, Harry Fretter of Grand Blanc, Mich; and Frank Fretter of Flint, Mich; two daughters, Mrs. Florence E. Mecum of Glenwood and Mrs. Myrtle Fox of Saginaw, Mich; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services were Sunday, August 21st at 2:30 p.m. at the Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Sigby Dilda officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery with Davis Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were: John Plyler, Hurley Plyler, Carl Plyler, C. C. Plyler, John Wayne Plyler, and Robert Mecum.

Amanda's father was Isaac Miller Roush born 17 February 1836, Scott Twp., Sandusky Co., Ohio. He left his family in Ohio and lived in Oregon. He died of an abscessed tooth depending on others to care for and bury him. He died 22 January 1896 Detroit, Marion Co., Oregon, no burial information.
