Born on November 17, 1932 in Utica, NY, Cynthia was one of 7 daughters of Paul and Irene (Estes) Kegresse. After World War II, her family moved from Utica to the San Francisco bay area of California. Cynthia met her husband, Larry Schubert, and the two were married on September 14, 1952 in Concord, CA. They had 6 sons and lived for several years in Oregon (1963 to 1969) and then returned to California. After retirement, they moved to Grover Beach, CA, where Cynthia died from complications of diabetes on June 23,1999, aged 66 years. Cynthia was a wonderful lady, always joyful and kind, and will live in the hearts of all who knew her. We love you, mom.

Mom's favorite poem:

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost
