Helen Jean (Parrish) Mihalik, 80, of Hopewell Twp., went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2011.
Born July 22, 1931, in Independence Twp., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Myrtle J. Parrish.
In addition to her parents, preceding Helen in death were three sisters, Dorothy Solkory, Hazel Smith and Florence Mutkus, and two brothers, Herb and Ben Parrish.
Helen was a devoted homemaker. She took great pride in being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the important aspect of her life.
She shared 58 loving years with her husband, Thomas "Smiley" Mihalik who survives her; their children, Karen Mihalik, Thomas and Tricia Mihalik, Gary and Joyce Ann Mihalik, Jamie and Brooke Mihalik all of Independence Twp.; her grandchildren who were truly the light of her life, Eugenia, Tom, Ben, Eli, Lucas, Isabelle, Ryan, Katey and Shannon. She is also survived by three brothers, Ed, Everet and Delmar Parrish.
Friends will be received today from 4 to 8 p.m. in the ANTHONY MASTRO-FRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME, Aliquippa. A service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at John Anderson Memorial Cemetery.
