Born December 8, 1937, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Myrtle Parrish, the youngest of nine children. In addition to his parents, preceding Del's death were four sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Patti, of 52 years; his son, Del H. Parrish (Renee); son, Adam C. Parrish (Whitney), and grandchildren, Aleksandra, Del II and Ryan, who were the love of his life.
Del was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was also a past member of the Hopewell Hunt Club and Aliquippa Buck Tails trap and skeet club.
Del was a former employee of LTV Steel Company in Aliquippa and Over Head Doors, Louistown, Pa. He also served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves.
The family sends a special thanks to his doctors: Dr. D. Paone, Dr. M. Flynn, Dr. K. Hussey and Dr. D. Heldreth. Also a special thanks to Vitas Hospice.
A private memorial celebration of Del's life will be held at the Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church.
At Del's request, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church, 6020 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113.
