Ruby C. Banta was born 11/11/1904 in Chickalah, Ark, & passed away 8/11/1977 in Chickasha. She had lived in the Tuttle community 25 yrs. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.D. Banta in April 1954. She was a retired farmer. She is survived by 3 step-sons, Loyal Banta of Tuttle, Doyle Banta of Athens, AL, & Gerald Banta of Tuttle, 1 step-daughter, Mrs Thelma Morris of Minco, 1 brother, George Uel Cole of Yale, OK, 3 sister, Mrs Ruth Bills of Long Beach, Calif, Mrs Nora Hudson of Wetumka, & Mrs Pearl Dacus of Coffeyville, Kans. Pallbearers were Jr. MCCroskey, Joe Potter, Theron Jones, Don Williams, James Taylor, & Fred Lawson. Singers were provided by the Tuttle Church of Christ. Services were Saturday. 8/13/1977, in Sowers Memorial chapel, with Jack Cook officiating, assisted by John Higgins. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery, Tuttle.
