Death of Mrs. Cahill
Grandma Cahill passed from this life on Saturday, June 2nd. She was born at Limerick, Ireland, eighty-seven years ago, coming to this country when she was twelve years of age. Fifty-five years ago she was united in marriage to Mr. Patrick Cahill, who passed away about five years ago. Her maiden name was Margaret Hogan. She was one of the last of that generation of brave and hardy pioneers who came out into the wilderness with nothing but stout hearts and willing hands, and by hard labor and economy established a home and laid the foundation fore a fortune for those who came after her. The funeral was conducted from St. Ann's Church at nine o'clock on Monday morning. Among those who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hogan and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Sullivan of Faribault, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mulcahy and son James, and Mr. and Mrs. Con Mulcahy of Waterville, Mr. and Mrs. Simington and Jack Hogan of Minneapolis, Mr. McCarthy and Will Naughton and daughter Helen of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. John Callahan and Mr. and Mrs. Thos. McHugo of Waseca and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Linnehan of New Richland.
