Carl was born at Askeby Parish, Östergötlands län, Sweden to Carl Adolf Andersson and Johanna Olofsdotter.

Carl E. Carlson Dies; Rites will be Tuesday
Carl Edward Carlson died today in his home, 1226 10th Avenue. He would have been 74 years old the 14th of this month. His death followed a five-weeks illness.

A native of Ostergotland, Sweden, Mr. Carlson was born March 14, 1870 and had lived around Rockford ever since he was 10 years old, when he accompanied his parents to Pecatonica.

Mr. Carlson was a mamber of Zion Lutheran Church for many years and sang in its Swedish choir. He ... illegible ... and Sons.

Surviving are his wife the former Carolina Stenstrom, whom he married December 28, 1897; three sons, Clarence W., Chicago, and Harold R., and Wilbur E., both of Rockford; two daughters, Mrs. Ferdinand Fritz and Mrs. B.M. Guin, both of Rockford and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Christenson funeral home, 925 3rd Avenue. The Rev E.G. Jnock, pastor of Zion Lutheran Churchl will officiate and burial will be in Willwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 8 p.m.
