Frank Alexander Adkins returned to his Heavenly Father Sunday, December 11, 1994 from his home in Bothell, Washington.
He was born in Ogden, Utah on June 12, 1948 to John William and EllaMae Robertson Adkins. He was raised in Coalville, Utah where he loved life, his family, his many friends, fishing, hunting and animals of every kind. He loved baseball and was on many teams; he loved to win.He especially loved flowers. His favorites were yellow roses, orchids, tulips and daffodils.
He graduated from North Summit High School, participating in several school plays. His favorite was when he played Curly in Oklahoma. He graduated from Dixie College and Southern Utah State University. He also attended BYU.
He fulfilled an LDS mission to the British South Mission. He loved education and teaching. He taught school in Utah 's Dixie and in Portland and the Washington State area. He was presently teaching at Oak Heights Elementary in Bothell, Washington. His greatest joy came from the wonderful children he taught in school. In all the years of teaching his slogan in every class was, "This class operates on common courtesy."
He is survived by his mother; two brothers and their wives, John and Shanna Adkins, Robert and Helen Adkins; six sisters and their husbands, Louise and Merlyn Symes, Linda and David Griffin, EllaMae and Boyce Judd, Teri and Gary Siddoway, Lori and Don Winters, Janet and Lynn Jackson; foster sisters and their husbands, Evelyn and Clark Cook, Susan Estabillo, Rosita and Paul Cleveho. A special friend, A. J. Talbot and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends, all who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father and a special nephew, Cameron Adkins and niece, Pamela.
Memorial services were held in Seattle, Wednesday, December 14 and funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 1994, at 1 p.m, at the Coalville LDS Stake Center. Interment in the Coalville Cemetery. Funeral directors, Walker Mortuary, Coalville.
