In the spring of 1865, at the age of two months, she came with her parents, by covered wagon, to Pleasantville, and settled on a farm two miles southwest of town, where she lived until the fall of 1881.
On December 31, 1882, she was united in marriage to F. H. Spalti. To this union, three children were born, two daughters and one son, one daughter dying in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, F. H. Spalti, a son, Carp, a daughter, Maude Middleton, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Orvis Clark, all of Pleasantville; also eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Her parents, one sister, and six brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Mason's Funeral Home. Rev. Azel L. Smith, assisted by Rev. Chester R. Weber, conducted the services. Burial was in the Pleasantville cemetery.
