Obituary: Fridolin H. Spalti, son of Henry and Sarah Routh Spalti, was born Dec. 5, 1863, in Pleasantville, Iowa, and pased away April 24, 1958, at the age of 94 years, 4 months, and 8 days. He lived his entire life in this community.
He was married to Joanna Agard on Dec. 30, 1882, and to this union three children were born, Maude Middleton, Carp, and one baby who died in infancy. He also raised from the age ot two years, Katherine Clark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Mr. Spalti was in the lumber business at one time, selling to G. J. Stewart. He was in the mercantile business anumber of years and remained in that business until the store burned Jan. 17, 1925. He had been in semi-retirement since that time.
He was a member of the Christian Church, a member and ardent lover of the K. of P. and Odd Fellow Lodges.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Azel Smith of Osceola, and Rev. Kent Borgaard officiating. Burial was in the Pleasantville cemetery.
