Lucinda Macy Beard was the daughter of Jonathon B. Macy and Matilda Peirce Macy. Born 1839 and died in 1914 in Economy. She was widowed at an early age when her husband passed away after an illness. She was left with a family of five to raise. She did a fine job however as the four sons and the daughter prospered and had large families of their own.
