Bio

I spent many summers in Milk River AB and I knew many Milk River People my family maternal came from Indiana to Milk River --hence the photos. I live in Boise, Idaho with my wife and 2 dogs--we are empty nester's. I am retired Air Force, with military service spanning 42 years--1962 thru 2004 plus 2 years of ROTC at Boise High School in Boise, Idaho. I have successfully completed several difficult online searches for long lost family members and enjoy the sleuthing aspect. I was born in Rossland, B.C. Canada during the WWII---I have many relatives in Canada although I live in the US.
Why do I post on Find a Grave--Everyone deserves to be remembered. Most people are not famous or outstanding. Many people can be googled and nothing shows up in a search. Everyone deserves to be remembered, Find A Grave accomplishes that. My paternal descendants are mostly in several cemeteries in the Detroit area--Woodmere--Southfield--Franklin and other local cemeteries. My maternal descendants are mostly in the Richmond Indiana area--West River Cemeteriy--Economy--Muncie -Hagerstown and other local cemeteries.

I think "Find A Grave" is a very worthwhile endeavor--connecting lost relatives and giving solace and closure to many while enabling memorials from the living to salute those who have passed before. I became active in Find A Grave to further my genealogical research--although I have been familiar with it for several years. I am pursuing connecting the dots between my ancestors and making a trail for others in my family to follow. I hope to be able to reunite people with their missing family members while connecting the dots for my own lineage. I love the family link feature making it easy to follow the path.************ I could really use some constructive input on my Beard line---seems I have hit a dead end with David Beard in Hagerstown, Md--he was the father of John Beard b.1815--married to Susanna Leisure b.1815--m.1836--on my memorials.*************

One of the things I like to do on my memorials is to add bios and photos if at all possible so those viewing can try to grasp the significance of these memorials and to give a bit of perspective concerning people's lives.

Surnames Researching: Austin, Dunbar, White, Trumbull, Beard, Cheesman, Lumpkin, Macy , Coffin, Folger, Coleman, Barnard, Bunker,
Starbuck, Yuille, Bryant.

ATTENTION--IF I SHOULD ENTER A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL--IT IS BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL DID NOT SHOW UP ON A SEARCH. I RESEARCH EVERY NAME I ENTER--IF THE NAME IS WRONG OR INCOMPLETE(ON THE PRIOR MEMORIAL-- IT WILL NOT SHOW UP IN A SEARCH. MY APOLOGIES. MOST OF MY MEMORIALS ARE DIRECT DESCENDANTS OF MY FAMILY BOTH PATERNAL AND MATERNAL!!!!!!!!!!

I have been reminded that it is important for you to sponsor memorials of your family members with multiple photos so there is room for Grave-site photos if needed. It really helps people doing research.

Please send me corrections on my listings or additional links and I will post. Please feel free to add photos if you have some. Most of my postings are direct family line to me. If we have common ancestors and I have photos you are welcome to copy. If you are Beards,Cheesmans,Lumpkins,Austins or Dunbars I possibly have photos to share that are not on FAG. PLEASE NOTE--WHEN YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR A MARKER IN A CEMETERY AND YOU ARE IN THE CORRECT LOCATION BUT THERE IS NO VISIBLE MARKER--PROBE THE GROUND WITH A 12 INCH SCREWDRIVER--OLDER MARKERS ARE SOMETIMES OVERGROWN AND HAVE GRASS AND SOIL COVERING THEM. One final note, Thank You To All Find A Grave Volunteers.
